It would be superfluous to say that Rome is an incomparable city.The list of the reasons for what once in your life you must visit Rome could be in the thousands and thousands of monuments witnessing the history of Rome, so impressive and amazing.
Rome has been the centre of the known world for centuries and centuries.
It is astonishing how the history of Rome had its origin in a rural context and how the Romans time after time, conquering their neighbours or sometimes allying with them, acquired at the same time power and an extremely wide range of cultural influences.
The result was an invincible Empire extending beyond the European Continent. But the Roman Period is not the predominant part of the history of this city.
The Renaissance gave to the city the light and the harmonious proportions of its architecture and during this period Rome swarmed with artists and intellectuals.
It is not possible to avoid mentioning the Baroque period, which gave so much splendour to the city.
We will never been able to give a full idea of every treasures of Rome, but the aim of our tours is to offer to our customers selected tours of the most important sights and interesting suggestion of hidden tracks.

Historical tours
Christian Rome
At the Esquiline Hill, your guide will show you the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, then by coach to the Holy Staircase and the Lateran Palace before visiting the Basilica of San Giovanni, the Cathedral of Rome.
Through the Ancient Appian Way, you will reach the Catacombs of S. Callisto, Santa Domitilla or San Sebastiano depending on seasonal conditions.
The tour will end with a view of the Baths of Emperor Caracalla. Return to the vicinity of your Hotel.
Roman Castles
This tour takes you along the " Road of lakes" through one of the hilly areas of volcanic origin that characterizes the outskirts of Rome: the Colli Albani.
You will visit Castelgandolfo on the shores of a volcanic lake, Rocca di Papa and Grottaferrata. Places known for their culture, sights and gastronomic delicacies, which includes the traditional "porchetta".
Towards the northerly part of the Colli Albani, you will reach Frascati, famous for its beauty and for the considerable wine production.
Architectural tours
Tivoli
Following the ancient Via Tiburtina, east of Rome, you will reach two very splendid villas from two different ages.
The Villa Adriana, dating back to the Roman Times, built by the Emperor Hadrian to remind him monuments and sites he had visited during his travels in the East, and the Villa D'Este from the Renaissance period, with its countless fountains and its Italian garden, considered one of the most beautiful villas of Italy.
Baroque Tour
During the XVII century the city of Rome was literally "invaded" by the light and scenographic buildings of the Baroque style.
Squares, palaces, churches and fountains spread through the city with their luminous shapes.
Two main artists gave their contribution to this enrichment: Francesco Borromini and Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
This tour will show you some of their creations. In the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria the amazing Bernini sculpture of "Estasi di Santa Teresa".
Borromini planned the incredible church of San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane. Even if very little, it is a jewel of the Baroque architecture. Sant' Andrea al Quirinale is one of the masterpieces of Bernini, it is precious also for the materials used for its decorations: gold and plaster. Bernini operated also at the Palazzo del Quirinale where you can see his beautiful " loggia" and the round shape dungeon.
The itinerary will end at the Vatican where the Saint Peter Colonnade will welcome in the magnificent square in front of the most known church in the world, Saint Peter Basilica. Also inside this church you can find his ingenious works such as the " Scala Regia" or the famous canopy over the high altar.
